Not all turmeric is equal. Most supermarket haldi is bred for yield and colour; ours is grown for curcumin. The rhizomes are boiled, sun-dried and polished the traditional way, then ground slowly on stone so the essential oils are not lost to heat.

The result is a turmeric with a deep ochre colour, a warm earthy aroma and none of the harsh bitterness that comes from over-processing. Independently tested for lead chromate adulteration — a common problem in loose turmeric — and certified free of it.
