Our approach

We collect as little as we can get away with, we never sell it, and we tell you plainly what we hold.

What we collect

When you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address, and the page you subscribed from.

When you contact us: your name, email, phone number if you provide it, and your message.

When you submit a review: your name, email, city if you provide it, your rating and your review text. Only your name, city, rating and review text are ever published — never your email.

When you browse: we count page views and clicks on buy buttons. This is aggregate and anonymous. We do not store your IP address, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

Stored in your browser only: your cart shortlist, wishlist and recently viewed products live in your browser's local storage. They never reach our servers and we cannot see them.

Why we collect it

• To send you the newsletter you asked for
• To reply to your enquiry
• To publish your review after moderation
• To understand which products interest people, in aggregate
• To meet our legal obligations

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

Nobody, with three narrow exceptions:

1. Our email delivery provider, solely to send newsletters you subscribed to.
2. Our hosting provider, which necessarily processes data to serve the site.
3. Law enforcement, where we are legally compelled.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

Marketplace purchases

When you tap a buy button you leave our site. Anything you enter on Amazon, Flipkart or another marketplace is governed by that company's privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your payment details, address or order contents.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe
• Contact messages: 24 months
• Published reviews: as long as the product page exists
• Aggregate analytics: 13 months

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you email. Write to info@bioaru.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes — never in plain text. Administrative access is restricted and logged.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with an updated date.
